They are often compared to the The White Stripes, as they are also a two-piece band that likes to rock out with a bluesy style. Formed in 2004 by guitarist Melissa Swingle, of indie band Trailer Bride, and drummer Laura King, formerly of the Chapel Hill band Grand National.
